What the calculators are
Each calculator applies a published equation to the numbers you enter and shows the result together with the formula. The equations come from research reports, military directives and the training literature, and each page links its sources. A result is a statistical estimate for people similar to the group the equation was built on. Your own value can differ by several percentage points, or by 10 percent or more of a lifting load.
